Guiding service on rivers Erkina and Goul

I run a ghillie service on the local rivers for salmon and trout at very reasonable rates. I also teach the art of fly fishing and river craft for beginers and anyone interested . I also run fly tying classes which can be run in tandum with the fishing .
We have four very good rivers to fish with fish up to three pounds to the dry fly in the evening on the river Erkina.

We also have some Trout lakes in the locality, Stradbally lake is nearby and has a very good stock of brown trout. There is also a new rainbow fishery in nearby Coolraine The Laois Angling centre. This is a really excellent lake with superb fishing and fantastic facilities. Also there are some very good course fishing lakes nearby full of carp, bream, tench and rudd.

Hotel or B&B accommodation can be arranged. I can look after groups of people if required please contact me with any enquiries. The top picture is of myself fishing the river Barrow. This is a truly great river with a huge stock of brown trout and salmon. It is a joy to behold for the course fisherman with big shoals of bream rudd and some big pike to be had.



The next Photo is the River Goul this has to be my favourite river with miles of fantastic trout fishing. This river has a huge head of brown trout with some of the best dry fly fishing around.
